In light of recent announcements from various unions and a review of staffing levels, we have made the difficult decision to re-open the school from Tuesday 5th January for critical worker children and vulnerable pupils only.
If you would like to request a place for your child and you meet the criteria set out in the government critical worker list, please complete the form sent out to all parents today and return it no later than 3:00pm today. I ask you to bear with us over today as we undertake the task of collating all this information and plan a way to return as many children as possible into school given staff levels and health and safety requirements.
If you qualify for a critical worker/vulnerable place we will let you know as soon as possible. Please note that we may need to limit places to families with two key workers and single parent households first.
In addition, staff will be organising packs of work for collection tomorrow for all children working at home. Staff will provide enough work for the remainder of this week for children to complete. Further information regarding collecting the packs will be provided later today.
We will review the situation at the end of the week. Should the partial re-opening continue into next week, we will be looking to provide remote/online learning for the children.
I apologise for the short notice, but ask for your continued understanding and support at this difficult time.
Mr G Kelly
