Sports Update

Netball

Our netball team took part in a league match against Hill View last week. Although the team lost 3-0, they tried hard and co-operated well. Well done to the team of James, Mia, Oscar, Amelia and Niamh for their efforts. My thanks to Mrs Godfrey for accompanying the team and passing on her expertise and my thanks also to parents and carers who were able to help with lifts. The team will be playing another match next Tuesday after school at Farringdon.

Football

A couple of weeks ago, our football team played in the McAuliffe Trophy 5-a-side competition at the GOALS Centre in Sunderland. The team won two games, lost one and drew one. Both Jamie and Roman scored two goals each. Well done to the team of Nathan, Jamie, Roman, Noel, Daud and McKenzi for their efforts. My thanks to Mr Hauxwell for accompanying the children and to parents who were able to provide lifts and support on the night.

Tennis Competition

Eight of our Year 3 children will be taking part in a tennis competition at the Puma Centre on the morning of Tuesday 14th February; further details to follow. We wish the children well and look forward to hearing how they performed.
