It is important that our children arrive on time for school at or before 8:55am. Children coming late into school means they are missing out on learning. It can be disruptive for the rest of the class and can be embarrassing for the child entering the classroom. If a child was to arrive at school at 9am (5 minutes late) every day, they would miss nearly 16 hours of learning over the academic year. Whilst we acknowledge that children can occasionally be late, we would be grateful if parents could ensure that their child arrives on time for school as much as is possible. We would remind parents to sign their child in at the office if they are late. We will be starting to send out formal letters to parents of children who are regularly late: continued lateness may result in referral to the local authority’s Attendance Team. Thank you for your cooperation.
