Sports Update – 31st March 2017

Netball

Our netball team took part in a league match against St Paul’s on Tuesday 14th March, narrowly losing 3-2.  Well done to the team of James, Mia, Oscar, Amelia, Theo and Niamh for their efforts. My thanks to Mrs Godfrey for accompanying the team and also to parents and carers who were able to support and help with lifts. In addition, some of our Year 5 children participated in an inter-schools netball competition on Tuesday 21st March. The team won one match, drew two and lost one. Again, well done to the children for their efforts.

Football

Our football team played in the second round of the Bishop Cunningham Cup at St William’s School in Trimdon on Tuesday 28th March. The team won both their games, 7-0 and 1-0, to go through to the next round. Well done to the team of Roman, Ethan, Tyler, Cambell, Nathan, Daud, McKenzi and Jamie for competing so well. My thanks to Mr Hauxwell for preparing and accompanying the children and to parents and carers who were able to support and help with lifts.
